For Acera’s 8th-graders, the end of the school year is a bitter-sweet moment: As they spread their wings and move on to various High Schools, they say goodbye to Acera in a ceremony they design and run themselves, reflecting on their years, their experiences, their learning, growth and friendships at the school. In any school, students are what matters most, and watching them sing, shine and reminisce — and play Swedish Heavy Metal on a Kazoo — made us all a wacky mix of teary, giddy and proud. Here’s to our graduates and the futures they’ll build for themselves. We miss you already!
