Make Your Own Gondola

Make Your Own Gondola

Make Your Own Gondola | Ages 10-15
Offered: Week 5 (FULL) or Week 7 (AM)

Build a simple machine or robot that travels suspended from a rope or wire (similar to a ski lift). Sometimes called a gondola, your machine will be based on the popular micro:bit. Use a small motor and three or more circuits to drive a wheel. You can decorate your machine and add lights or sensors to make it more beautiful or to change its behavior. Design other versions: use a different motor, use solar power, and more! No previous engineering experience is necessary. **NOTE: If you would like to keep your micro:bit and gondola at the end of the week, a materials fee will be assessed at $35 per machine. Instructor: David Alsdorf, Acera Artist-in-Residence and Computer Science teacher $335

This class is full in Week 5. Please choose this week on the registration form if you would like to waitlisted.
