This new camp blends science and art to help students develop sculpting skills rooted in anatomical study – just like in the field of forensic science and the entertainment industry! Activities will include exercises on how to model human features (such as ears, noses, eyes, lips, and the head as a whole) based on observation and understanding of anatomical structures. Students will examine the way volumes and shadows appeared on one another’s faces, and learn how to use their fingers and modeling tools to blend clay pieces, build planes, and create volumes, hollows, folds and textures.
