Week 6 – 7/19/2021 – 7/23/2021
Students will design and build their own custom skateboard cruisers in this exciting class. They will select a few strips of woods from several available hardwoods, decide on the pattern and laminate them together. They will plane the board flat, like a cutting board, and then cut the board shape and round the edges. Students will finish off the board by staining, drilling holes and attaching hardware. We plan to finish skateboards and test them out on the last day. Students will also choose a small second project for wait times when their skateboard glue or stain is drying.
