Celebrating Our Students’ Love of Math!

By December 18, 2024No Comments

At Acera, there are so many things that make our school a unique and special place for gifted learners—and a love of learning is certainly one of them! Our students love the Arts, Science, Writing, Technology, Reading…and…our Acera students love Math

On Wednesday, we hosted an All-School Assembly to recognize our students’ enthusiasm for math and celebrate their participation in the Noetic Math Contest. This event highlighted our students’ verve to try something new, enthusiasm for challenge, while thinking in fresh, creative ways.

And now for the exciting numbers:

    • 75 Acera students from Kindergarten through 8th grade participated in the contest!
    • 38 students earned National Honorable Mentions (ranking in the top 50% nationally).
    • 17 students earned National Honor Roll Medals (ranking in the top 10% nationally).
    • 8 students ranked among the very best in their grade levels.
  • 2 grades, the entire 6th and 7th grades earned National Honor Roll Medals (ranking in the top 10% nationally).

Kudos to all our mathematicians for their hard work and achievements! We also extend our deepest thanks to Ms. Jamie for her dedication and effort in organizing this opportunity for our students.

Acera is a place where curiosity, commitment, and creativity thrive—and this celebration of math is just one more example of our students’ incredible spirit. The Noetic Honor Board will be posted Thursday, December 19.

With Infinite Enthusiasm,

Heather
