Core to Acera’s mission is to offer each individual the freedom to pursue interest, nourish curiosity and foster exploration. Nowhere is that more visible than on Acera’s Adventure Playground!
This year 100% of Acera’s Annual Fund will go towards our Playground Project, with funds to be invested right away, extending opportunities for physical, climbing and building and creative play as new playground components and areas get re-imagined and installed all year. Acera’s playground is used by every student every day; many use it 2-3 times a day with lower school morning recess, and copious outdoor learning opportunities.
Some facets of this project have professional adult supervision to engage kids, soliciting their ideas and building participation to add new nets, swinging platforms and bridges to our “forest” and adventure climbing zones and the gardening zone.
To make these dreams a reality, we hope that our Acera community–current families, alumni families, friends of Acera and Acera Enrichment Program families–will come together and donate to ensure that students will enjoy this unique adventure playground experience for many years to come!
