Learn how to draw and explore in Virtual Reality. Solve a design challenge in our wood shop. Create your own enchanted electronics project. Learn math by diving into sports statistics. Join our Mini-Maker School for 5-7 year olds. Try making 3D paintings… and much more! After a great pilot last year, Acera will be offering a variety of STEAM programs during both February and April vacation weeks in 2018!
Registration is now open for our February Vacation STEAM Camp. You can browse offerings either by schedule or by program (including detailed descriptions.) Students can come for half or full days, one or more days. A few programs will run for the entire week (there will be no camp on Monday, February 19, 2018.)

New this February:
- Inside the Storybook: Mini-Maker School for 5-7 year olds — a session combining storytelling and play-based creative engagement with early design education and making.
- Games and Probability, a 4-day program for 9 –12 year olds in which students will play and analyze new and traditional board games through the lenses of game theory, probability, resource management, and logic.
- Introduction to Programming in Virtual Reality for 12-18 year olds, a college course type offering in which students work in teams to explore VR technology and the principles behind it as well as how to program VR applications.
Check out this video, which shows some of our day and summer students working in VR with the same tools we will be using during camp:
